Our float facility is almost finished!

We are excited to share the first pictures of our Maui Calm float facility! Ever since the fires, our nonprofit has been closely collaborating with the engineers at Floataway to build the world’s first deployable float facility. Even though everything is being constructed inside of a shipping container we wanted the float rooms to be state-of-the-art, with open spacious pools built inside beautiful rooms engineered to be waterproof, saltproof, soundproof, lightproof, and temperature- and humidity-controlled so that both the air and water match the temperature of your skin. This was no small engineering feat and we can’t thank Floataway enough for the countless hours of work they have put into constructing this facility.

We are in the homestretch and very soon we’ll be shipping our container across the world from Floataway’s factory in England all the way to the new Westside YMCA in Lahaina. If all goes well with the permitting process, we should be able to start providing FREE FLOAT THERAPY to all the fire survivors, first responders, and frontline workers on Maui later this year!

We’ll be sending out a bunch more updates in the coming months as we prepare for the arrival of our float facility, so stay tuned….
